Receiving on his behalf is Ms. Sherrie McDonald of Harrisburg Hometown Pharmacy, where Bill Harris embodied ‘service above self,’ and was loved by all.

Presenting the Paul Harris Fellow award is Robert Kirk, Rotary Club of Cabarrus County Club President alongside Woody Hathaway, Club Foundation Committee Chair.
Harrisburg Hometown Pharmacy (5006 Hwy 49 South) has created an amazing memorial pharmacist museum of sorts, and the public is cordially invited to see this impressive display – of both love and caring, as well as a walk through a bit of pharmacological history.

Paul Harris Fellow

In Memoriam
Awarded Posthumously to Rotarian L. William “Bill” Harris

By the Rotary Club of Cabarrus County in memory of Rotarian Bill Harris
who, while serving as the “hometown pharmacist,” embodied a depth of character and kindness that elevated his professional skill to that akin to the ‘healing balm of Gilead.’ Bill Harris took “service above self” to heart, expressed with humility and gentleness, for the purpose of helping the whole person. By so doing, he strengthened all who came across his path.

With deepest appreciation and respect, this award is presented for display at the Harrisburg Hometown Pharmacy where Bill Harris last served, and evidenced by:

Robert Kirk, President                                 Woodrow W. Hathaway Jr, Chair
Rotary Club of Cabarrus County               Club Foundation Committee
